Awakened by the first light

Seems a long, long time

Society that I once knew

The dead now inhabit

Cadavers walk the earth

I'm at a loss for words

Bear witness to the horror

To live? No! To survive!

Out within the open

The streets a danger zone

Stench of death is all around

Can't recognize a soul

The suffering are half eaten

Flesh completely gone

As they turn they rise again

The dead now after me!!!

A cadaverous swarm

For me now impending

Baring witness first hand

One's entrails torn and gorged

Some were met with bullets

But numbers are too much

A life of the zombie holocaust

Is now in full swing
