'bout a cap'n of unprecedented cruelty

until his tired an' angry crew planned mutiny

The cap'n wuz caught by this revenge thirsting horde

Some scallywag came out with a cat o'nine tails

There wuz a consultation, his punishment decided

A ramble through the dark cold waters under the keel

The ropes were tied tight to his ankles an' his wrists

Down there wuz full o'sharks so hungry for fresh meat

Ya-ha-harrrr laughed the lads loud as hell

The worst evil wishes an' curses they yelled

The cap'n wuz struggling underwater to survive

When he tore the rope with its sharklike steely bite

He clung the cord with steady hand an' then began to climb

Dead silence fell on deck then came a curse an'then a pray

The cap'n came on board, he wuz back among his mates

The looking in his eyes would cringe Satan himself

Sharkbite Johnny wuz ready for revenge

The coxswain wuz appalled, the sailors were so frightened

Right there in front of them they saw the Devil in disguise

The Cap'n took a cutlass then he got a loaded flint

Sharkbite Johnny like a flash began to kill

It wuz not long before survivors gave up

They say he blew down thirteen men by himself

Peace wuz then restored on board the blood covered ship
