Now I see the culmination of trial and error seeping outward
Too many feelings to give but no place to rest your own head
Sensationless, fingertips touch, and tainted lips part
withstanding the test of time
Pointed is the tongue that pleads for second chances
Poisoned lips part giving into failure
Eye for an eye spinning webs into the flesh
replacing every thought of repentance, everything erased.
Four walls in a new home begin to sag inward
and dust sets faster than your efforts make progress
Your skin shines faintly through the window
where you sit and think about love
But success still taunts as it stands out of grasp
and the windows steadily fog over
Nothing is impossible
I’m not sure what the solution is, nor where to find it
But commitment to nothingness I give as I watch you from the window across
No measurable scope of days and I have found nothing further
Now I see the culmination of trial and error seeping outward
Too many feelings to give but no place to rest your own head
Sheltered from awareness the blood pumps dense through your veins
Reflections dance through the now shattered panes
Your shelter built on a firm structure of false hope
Commitment to your outward glow leaves us parting
With an empty “goodbye”
Faint and quivering
Now knee high in the dust I dare not move,
because I know there is nothing else.
No reason to shift my sights as my eyes serve no other purpose.
Trial and error ends abruptly
I am fixated
