With hands bound by legacies
Of abuse, obtuse unease
An unwavering disease
That points us to these choppy seas
Waves that rise up to consume
Slapping sides impending doom
I held fast to broken masts
Still found drowned amidst the flume
No land in sighti clutched debris
The splintered wood that once was me
Drifted in and out of sleep
Aimless, brainless, twisted heap
She dreamt and left me on the shore
Of listless wanting nothing more
Than something like it was before
To absent gods I begged and swore
I pulled myself out of the sea
Collected every single piece
Arranged them neatly on the beach
Some fragments still seemed out of reach
This is the cursed sea
It took every part of me
And still it wasn't enough
This is the cursed sea of love
