I live today in the modern day

where we are slaves to a display.

Little people in the screen tell us what to do.

Just stay at home and listen to the news:

“The violence on the streets and in schools.”

Monkeys in our government running loose.

Boredom is the standard of the day

but entertainment floods us anyway.

“Oh and remember to buy the newest model out today”

And so society is in decay

but no one seems to bother anyway…
