You turned your back.

Fear eats inside like a cancer,

And turns your heart black.

Swept by the ruse of the dancer,

You fall through the cracks.

Your failing attempts to be master,

Prove what you lack.

Look at the logic so twisted, it's bent to their will.

And while you grope in the darkness, they're in for the kill.

You had the chance but dismissed it, to tread your own path.

Trading a handful of diamonds, for a fist full of broken glass.

And now your life goes madly flashing by.

No rhyme or reason, time of the season, is what you hide behind.

With everything, you're still left wanting more.

All through your life, indoctrinated to,

Believe intention of their invention, that's false if it is true.

Come with me now, we'll run into the light.

And find our way, and leave behind the night.

Searching out glory and wisdom, to keep as your own.

Fixating on your own image, turning to stone.

There is no new revelation, you've heard it before.

Waiting in anticipation, to step through the door.
