Hard and intimidating

The solid shell you're wearing

Raw metal moulded with your hands

A shelter from the outside

But caging on the inside

Sealing air-tight all of your dreams away

Entranched in our cuirass

Nobody's allowed nearer

Than a few million miles of distance

You've never let your shield down

Thus never had that someone

To fight in your place when you rest or sleep

You know I stole a glance in

A peek into the chinks and cracks

You are no warrior

But you're made of what the stars are

made of

The light behind the armour

Warms my face, clear as the sun

Gleaming bright, just let it pass through

Shine in us, brilliant as day

Shadows are deeper in a place so full of light

Don't ever let them rule your heart tonight

I made it through and peered inside

And I got dazzled by the shine
