A pregnant angel drags god to death
Doubt cuts deep with frozen breath
Her spirit torn by the unbeliever’s cry
Born not of hope, nor of dreams that fly
We denied the angels grace
Crushed their promises without a trace
Our minds pursued the truth so cold
A deranged god falls, broken and old
No one believes; the faith is gone
No one sees the light
faith is lost in endless night
Angels drowned in borrowed gleam
Choked by holiness that killed the dream
Heaven fell without a roar
No fire, no war, faith is no more
God sleeps in a chasm deep
Or perhaps never woke from sleep
The sky bleeds; even the light hides in fear
And the wind carries the cries of the forgotten
We tore the angel’s womb apart
Cut God's hand, stole the heart
Sowed the seed of godless night
No prophecy, no sacred light
No one believes; the faith is gone
In the ashes of hope, darkness reigns eternal
