The Warlock and the Wanderer Lyrics

Deep in the woods

I could sense a gleam

And a voice that called to me

To walk into the abyss

A cold mist

Covered the mountains

And I, lost among the trees

Felt my end

High in the mountains

I could see the sky break

Like a heart without love

Tearing itself apart and weeping in an endless storm

Deep in the woods

The voice kept calling me

"Wander no more," it told me

And I couldn't keep up

High in the mountains

I kept walking like the vagrant I am

Searching for a reward

That I will never obtain

I am just a man

A lost man

A man who cries

A vagrant seeking answers

My dark veil covers me from the tears

That the sky sheds

That my soul sheds

That my solitude sheds

I feel destroyed

And so tired

And even asleep

I hear that voice

The voice of that warlock who follows me

And will not leave me in peace

I only hope the warlock finds me

Deep in the woods

Or high in the mountains

I no longer know where I am…

Nor where I will be…
