I feel you in the corner of the room,

Cautious and fleeting, but closer tonight.

The thought of leaving everything behind freezes my heart,

Even when I have nothing left to lose.

You walk beside me holding my hand,

Helping me carry the weight of my failures.

The ground begins to disappear,

And the sky grows dark.

I stand at the edge,

Afraid of you,

Of the moment when the air leaves my lungs,

Afraid of falling...

Into the arms

That my being refused to reject.

Every second that passes and every heartbeat

feels like a countdown.

I scream into the frost of your being,

but I cannot even hear myself.

Your gaze is an abyss where I find myself.

You no longer bother to come closer,

Because it's I who walks toward you.

I am unable to move

I cannot turn away

I cannot refuse

Being taken by a being like you

Afraid of what remains when fear is no more,

Afraid of falling... Into the arms of tomorrow.
