MOWER ANNOUNCE NEW HEADLINING DATES
San Diego, CA based Mower have announced some more headlining dates in support of their sophomore album album, "Not For You." The band will be embarking on a quick run on the West Coast before heading out on the Scratch 'N' Sniff Radio tour in early May.
The album's second single, "Broken Hands," is impacting radio now with the song receiving strong airplay from stations like XM Satellite Radio, WKQZ Saginaw, MI; WRXW Jackson, MI; WRCQ Fayetteville, NC; WJJO, Madison and 93X in Minneapolis.
Formed in the late nineties in San Diego, California, Mower quickly acquired the reputation as California's hardest working band. The band took a cue from their punk rock roots and became a self-promoting machine, plastering the entire city of San Diego with flyers and Mower stickers, which prompted local authorities to serve the band with "cease and desist" letters. Driven by dual vocalists Brian Sheerin and Dominic Moscatello and bassist Chris McCredie, the group quickly took the scene by storm with an onslaught of insane live performances with the likes of Slayer, Disturbed, GWAR, hed(pe), System of a Down, Fear Factory and the Vans Warped Tour that left audiences stunned.
Mower's latest album was recorded in Los Angeles with former Snot and Soulfly guitarist Mikey Doling producing. The album was called "The Best Metal Album of 2006" by Radio Aggression and nominated for two San Diego Music Awards in the "Best Hard Rock" and "Best Hard Rock Album"
categories. The band's video for the song "Road Rage" has also received spins on MTV's Headbanger's Ball, MANIA TV and a variety of others.
