Rotting Christ streams the re-recorded edition of their Aealo album with modern production and added collaborations.

Greek black metal pioneers Rotting Christ have unveiled a completely re-recorded version of their influential 2010 album Aealo. The updated release boasts modern production techniques that bring greater clarity and dynamic range to the original tracks, enriching the album’s cinematic blend of pagan themes, folklore, and ritualistic elements.

This new edition includes contributions from guest artists like Diamanda Galás and Alan A. Nemtheanga, which add further depth to the dramatic atmosphere of the record. It is being distributed by Season Of Mist and is available in multiple physical formats including CDs and colored vinyl.

Since forming in 1987, Rotting Christ has been a leading force in the Hellenic black metal scene, renowned for their evolving sound that melds extremity with ancient cultural influences. Aealo marked a significant artistic milestone for the band, and this re-recorded release serves to highlight its lasting impact with a fresher, more powerful approach.

The band’s lineup on the album features Sakis Tolis on guitar and vocals, Themis Tolis on drums, Kostas Heliotis on bass, and Kostis Fouk on guitar. Fans can listen to the full reworked album via the band’s official YouTube channel and purchase it in physical formats from their label.
