Sid Wilson Reportedly Out of Slipknot After 27 Years

Sid Wilson's time with Slipknot has reportedly come to an end.

According to TMZ, sources with direct knowledge of the situation say Wilson was informed late Friday afternoon that he has been permanently removed from the band. The reason behind the decision has not been made public, and neither Wilson nor Slipknot has issued an official statement addressing the reported split.

Wilson, who joined Slipknot in 1999 as the band's DJ and keyboardist, was one of the group's nine original members. His departure marks another significant lineup change for the long-running metal band.

The reported exit comes several months after Wilson and Kelly Osbourne ended their engagement in March. At the time, sources indicated the breakup was amicable and suggested the pair had not completely ruled out a reconciliation.

If confirmed, Wilson would become the latest original member to leave Slipknot. Former percussionist Chris Fehn and keyboardist Craig Jones previously exited the band. Bassist Paul Gray died in 2010, while drummer Joey Jordison passed away in 2021.

Slipknot has continued to evolve through numerous lineup changes over the years, though the reported departure of Wilson would mark the end of a 27-year run with one of heavy metal's most influential acts.
