Steel Panther Unleashes New Anthem Celebrating Moms Worldwide

By Jason
The outrageous metal band pays tribute to mothers with their latest single ahead of their European tour.

After what feels like an eternity for their devoted legion, California's flamboyant heavy metal icons, Steel Panther, are back and ready to rock with a brand-new anthem dedicated to the unsung heroines of our lives—moms. The quartet, featuring the charismatic vocals of Michael Starr, the shredding genius of Satchel, the rhythmic backbone of Stix Zadinia, and the groove-laden lines of Spyder, has crafted an irreverent tribute aptly titled "The Mother's Day Song"—a track perfect for the upcoming Hallmark holiday.

True to the band's signature style, "The Mother's Day Song" is a hard-hitting anthem filled with infectious riffs, pounding rhythms, and a chorus that'll have crowds singing along in no time. With their characteristic humor and over-the-top flair, Steel Panther celebrates the women who bring future generations into the world, all while keeping it hilariously heavy.

The new single is now streaming across all digital platforms, and fans can also catch the accompanying music video directed by longtime collaborator J.T. Arbogast. In a playful homage to The Beatles' legendary performance on “The Ed Sullivan Show,” the band dons their sharpest suits against a stark white backdrop, delivering a cheeky nod to rock history that will undoubtedly become another visual gem in their illustrious catalog.

This release marks Steel Panther's first original music in three years and is also the inaugural offering from their new label, Frontiers Music Srl. Known for their impressive roster and recent success with Megadeth, the Italian label has certainly made waves, and Steel Panther is ready to ride that momentum. The band humorously quipped about their new arrangement: "We've signed a lot of things in our career, including more body parts than we can remember, but we have now officially signed with Frontiers. Serafino and his team sent us a better batch of drugs and hookers than they gave to Dave Mustaine, and we all saw how great that album did."

Following a successful North American tour, Steel Panther is gearing up for their "Europe Twenty Twenty S€X Tour" kicking off on June 15 in Paris, France, and wrapping on July 25 in Southampton, U.K. Fans can expect more new music from the band in the near future, as they continue to evolve while embracing their roots in 80s glam metal.

Formed in 2000, Steel Panther has specialized in parodying and amplifying the outrageous excesses of 1980s hair metal, blending crude humor with killer riffs and an unapologetic attitude. With their sixth studio album, "On The Prowl," released in February 2023, they’ve continued to push boundaries while maintaining their classic sound. Stay tuned, because Steel Panther is far from done!
