Iron Maiden and Lagunitas Brewing Unveil "Trooper West Coast IPA"
Iron Maiden is officially bringing the spirit of the West Coast to their award-winning beverage portfolio.
Iron Maiden is officially bringing the spirit of the West Coast to their award-winning beverage portfolio. The heavy metal legends have announced a partnership with California’s own Lagunitas Brewing Company to launch the Trooper West Coast IPA, the latest addition to their global Trooper Beer line.
The new brew marks a significant milestone for the band as they collaborate with one of the most iconic names in American craft brewing.
A New Twist on a Classic Legacy
Clocking in at 6.6% ABV, the Trooper West Coast IPA is crafted using the highly-anticipated "Krush" hop variety. The result is a bold, hop-forward profile designed to appeal to both craft beer enthusiasts and the band's massive "Iron Maiden Republic" fanbase.
For frontman and beer aficionado Bruce Dickinson, the project has been a long time coming.
“The challenge of an American beer has long been on top of my ‘To Do’ list,” Dickinson said in a press statement. “Lagunitas are a watchword for West Coast brewing excellence, and it has been a real highlight working with them on a Trooper taste for both coasts and all states in-between!”
Where to Find It
Fans won't have to look far to get a taste of the collaboration. The beer will be available in several formats:
Retail: 6-packs will be stocked at participating retailers nationwide.
On-Tap: Select bars and taprooms will carry the brew.
Pop-Up Bars: The IPA will be a staple at "Eddie’s Dive Bars," exclusive pop-up locations appearing throughout Iron Maiden’s highly anticipated "Run for Your Lives Tour" later this summer.
The Countdown Begins
While the announcement has already stirred excitement, a mysterious countdown is currently live on the Lagunitas website, ticking down to June 7th. Fans can sign up for updates on the site to be the first to know about official launch events and availability maps.
The partnership with Lagunitas follows the massive success of the original Trooper Ale, developed with Robinson’s Brewery, which has sold over 35 million pints worldwide since its 2013 debut.
