MORIBUNDO (means "Dying" in Spanish language) is a new coming Death Doom Metal band from Spain, formed in 2014, featuring members from the Spanish underground scene such as BIZARRE, NANGILIMA, VANAGLORIA & ELDERDAWN.
The band performs an eclectic kind of dark and melancholic Doom Metal highly influenced by Death and Doom Metal sonorities. RaÃz Amarga ("Bitter Root" in Spanish) is the band first recording, which contains four tracks based in four poems of death and despair in more than 35 minutes of music. In many cases, the listeners experience a state of boredom while hearing long melancholic form of doom death, but the listeners are to be intrigued by the variety of elements present in the longer form of music of Moribundo.
Moribundo’s influences range from traditional form of death and doom metal to melancholic melodic death/doom, and a prudent listener might observe the suitable influences from funeral doom metal genre. When it comes to melancholic death/doom or funeral doom metal, one will usually experience the combination of depressed growls, riffs and keyboard tunes, but the music also possesses the strong spirited riffs and pounding blasts from Evildead.
