Mastodon to Reveal New Music Video

Mastodon announced the first official music video for the track, “Show Yourself,” which is set to debut on Thursday, March 16th. The new song is featured on the band’s eight studio album, “Emperor of Sand.”

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor, who handles vocal duties on the track, had this to say about the new song: “ "When I first heard that riff, I wasn't 100 percent on it," Dailor said. "I felt like it was too easy to like or something — which is stupid, but I want to avoid 'easy.' I was wrong about that one."

"Emperor of Sand" was recorded at The Quarry Recording Studio with producer Brendan O’Brien, who also produced the band’s “Crack the Skye” record.

To coincide with the album release, Mastodon will kick off a spring tour in the states on April 14th. Eagles of Death Metal and Russian Circles will support the band.
