Edguy's upcoming album, "Rocket Ride," slated for a January 20 release, will come out as a limited first edition in Europe. The limited version will include one bonus track, "Land of the Miracle," recorded live, and some never-before-seen photos of the band from their early days.

Frontman Tobias Sammet commented: "I can't tell how happy I am with the new album. The press seems to like it and the material kicks so much ass in the rehearsing room. Of course, it's the same old story, same procedure as every year, some people are confused or offended by a few song titles and the artwork, but that's fine with us! That's what metal is supposed to do. Confuse, offend, irritate! Remain exciting and unpredictable!!! The truest and most upright form of art you can get! As long as the music kicks! I think this is by far our best album because we dared a lot on a high-quality level. 'Hellfire Club' and 'Mandrake' had balls, 'Rocket Ride' has the testicles about the size of a sperm whale family. Sascha Paeth delivered the best production of his career so far and he can be proud of himself (and he is rich now!)."
