Denver's CLINGING TO THE TREES OF A FOREST FIRE has launched a new track from their Prosthetic Records' debut, "Songs of Ill Hope and Desperation, due out on June 6th.

Denver's CLINGING TO THE TREES OF A FOREST FIRE has launched a new track from their Prosthetic Records' debut, "Songs of Ill Hope and Desperation, due out on June 6th. The track is called "Empty" and can be heard now at their Myspace page. Prosthetic has posted a video interview with Ethan McCarthy, the band's vocalist, below. As previously announced, the band will head out on June 6 for a string of dates that will then hit the West coast and take them down through the south and back home to Colorado.

CLINGING TO THE TREES OF A FOREST FIRE, who have been referred to as "funeral grind," because they are "too slow for grindcore, too fast for doom," and have drawn comparisons to acts such as Brutal Truth, Pig Destroyer, Discordance Axis, EyeHateGod and Napalm Death, formed and released "Harmonies From Bleeding Mouths," an EP in 2006, and their first full-length, "Omega Drunk On The Blood Of Alpha" in 2008 on Debello Recordings. "Songs of Ill Hope and Desperation," will hit streets on June 8, 2010 and was recorded by Dave Otero at Flatline Audio (Cephalic Carnage, Catheter, Cobalt) and the band promises their "most dynamic, bleakest, and dirtiest material to date."
