Deron Miller (CKY frontman) - 'I wouldn't say I was an addict, but I was in denial about being able to do things civilly'

CKY The Gauntlet recently (and by recently I mean 30 minutes ago) caught up with CKY frontman Deron. When asked about the bands decision to get sober, he replied "I think I was the one with the biggest problem. I wouldn't say I was an addict, but I was in denial about being able to do things civilly. The other guys didn't have much of a problem that really got in the way of things. I think everyone has matured in a way that they see what could happen and they learned from my mistakes hopefully."

When asked about the creative process while sober, he stated "It was great. It felt like everything in the band had been restored: the passion, the energy and the want to create had been lacking for a while. So much touring, you forget about wanting to write and be in the studio. I finally got some time alone and picked up the guitar and had all these ideas. All the sudden we had all these songs and a record."

CKY will release Carver City on May 19 via Roadrunner Records.
