Steel Panther Signs With Universal Records

At last nights Steel Panther show at the Key Club in Hollywood, frontman Michael Starr announced to the packed crowd that the band recently inked a deal with Universal Records. Although the band frequently jokes about having signed a record contract, we are told this time it is the real deal. Along with covering the best songs of the 80's, the band has been performing original hits like "Stripper Girl," "Fat Girl," and "Asian Hooker." You can listen to these classics at MySpace. At last nights show, the band was joined on stage by Season 1 American Idol finalist Ryan Starr (no relation that we know of to Michael Starr).
