Formed in 1998 by the (then) drummer David Beer, Crystal Dawn showed that they had refined the meaning of melodic metal. In November of 1999 they released their debut album, Nestled in Time (Quembel Records).
2000 brought some change when Dave (drums) and Dwain (guitars) left. Beginning of 2001, with the core still intact, the band started up again, with Leon on drums and Marius on guitars. They definitely did something right, 'cause one of their songs got recorded on the Orgazmatracks 3 album, alongside bands such as In Flames, Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth to name just a few.
