The Gauntlet: Above This Fire

Above This Fire Bio

Above This Fire   Band Members

Rick Sans - Guitar
Dave Anderson - Drums
Andy Hoffman - Vocals
Oliver Barrett - Bass
LT Magnotto - Guitar

Subgenres:

The machine of mass destruction known as Above This Fire was formed in November of 2000 in Cleveland, Ohio, and currently consists of Andy Hoffman on vocals, Rick Sans on guitar, LT Magnotto on guitar, Oliver Barrett on bass, and Dave Anderson on drums. Their sound can be described as an integration of catchy old school hardcore riffs, metal with a touch of melody, passionate lyrics and crushing breakdowns that create a unique sound not found in todays hardcore/metalcore scene. Above This Fire compliments their sound with an intense, high energy live show. Playing each show as if it were their last, the band makes sure that everyone in attendance gets their money's worth from watching them.

After self-releasing a 5 song Ep (MMIII) in 2003, Above This Fire plans to blow people away with their first full length release on Life Sentence Records

    Hardcore Annal Sects

Slayer's 1986 thrash metal classic, Reign in Blood, was originally to be distributed by CBS. When the label refused to do so (citing the graphic nature of the material), Rick Rubin and his label, Def American, stepped in.
