Perpetual Suffering was conceived in 1993 as the brainchild of Hellman and Rega. At its inception the two set out to compose a musical style of Black/Death Metal that would incorporate various metal elements that would in the end resonate with the listener. First and foremost, Rega and Hellman were fans of this ever-growing genre and looked to create music that would appeal to them and not box itself into one musical stronghold.
