Seventh Void is the new band formed by TYPE O NEGATIVE guitarist Kenny Hickey and drummer Johnny Kelly. Their debut album will release April 21 through Big Vin Records, the label formed by HELLYEAH/ex-Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott.
Rounded out by bassist Hank Hell (INHUMAN) and guitarist Matt Brown (ex-SUPERMASSIV), Seventh Void continues TYPE O's tradition of slow, heavy riffs and existential lyrics, but with a slightly sludgier, "stonier" flavor.
Their sound has also been described as "somewhere between SOUNDGARDEN meets BLACK SABBATH. meets a little AUDIOSLAVE, with some TYPE O thrown in there."
