This Texas based emotionally evocative and musically diverse band recently returned to the stage after spending a year off touring while recording their 5th CD "Foiled" for Brando/Universal Records scheduled to release on March 14th, 2006. With no radio airplay or press in well over a year Blue October hit the road in October/November 2005 to re-connect with their listeners. The Tour was a HUGE success. Their audience only grew larger while they were away. Blue October played "SOLD OUT" shows in Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, San Angelo, Ft. Worth, Tulsa, Little Rock, Omaha, Chicago, Lawrence/Kansas City, and Des Moines/Ames. Other important shows on the tour included Minneapolis, St Louis, Milwaukee, Lubbock, Odessa, and the University of Notre Dame.
Blue October's upcoming release "Foiled" is a powerful new CD that once again touches on the lyrical landscape that so many other artists haven't the courage to explore. Nothing is left unsaid. What's ugly becomes beautiful, what's sad becomes hopeful, and most importantly the audience and band are connected at every moment, hanging on every word. The exchange between the audience and Blue October is amazing to witness.
The music is presented by a strong line-up of players: CB Hudson (guitar and vocals), Ryan Delahoussaye (violin, mandolin,piano, and vocals), Jeremy Furstenfeld on (drums and vocals), Matt Noveskey (bass and vocals), and Justin Furstenfeld (lead vocals and guitar). |
