Akira has been playing guitar since he was a teenager. Legend has it that he was picked up at the age of 16 at a talent contest for his rendition of a Deep Purple song. Since then, Akira played in the band Lazy, a japanese pop band, until (for some reason or another - Some say that he was tired of the pop scene, others say he was influenced by Van Halen) 1981, when he decided that it was time to play some heavier music. Thus, Loudness was born, and has been rockin' ever since! |
