Residing in a city where vanity and personal assets are more important than sincerity and ability, Los Angeles natives, The Human Abstract approach music with a new attitude. With technical proficiency and an undeniable candor, the five piece band has managed to clearly distinguish themselves from the rest of the pack. While taking influence from both European and American Metal, The Human Abstract provides an intense and progressive sound that will inspire and move you.

The combination of advanced technical musicianship and intense creative drive has proven to be the catalyst that places them well above the expectations of most L.A. metal/hardcore. The band avidly denies the mythos that the metal scene is uneducated or uninterested and offers a refreshing artistic approach not found in many other projects.

Soon after forming, the group recorded a two song demo and hit the local venues with a relentless do it yourself attitude. Shortly thereafter, the same relentless drive and passion that defines The Human Abstract began to attract a local die hard fan following along with the attention of some great producers, Jonny Santos (ex-Spineshank, current Silent Civilian vocalist) and Logan Mader (ex-Soulfly, ex-Machine Head). The band, always looking forward to continue progressing recorded a new three-song demo and quickly caught the attention of Los Angeles Punk/Indie label Hopeless Records.

The Human Abstract not only provide their memorable and timeless songs in intriguing recordings, but they also bring them out full force in an intense and unbridled live show. The spastic motions and uncontrollable head-banging, both on and off the stage, are a testament to their passion and love for both music and their audience. The band has now created a substantial following and dominated the local scene by regularly headlining local venues. With Hopeless Records behind them The Human Abstract are now taking the next step to spread that out and bring their music to fans everywhere.
