For their debut, Norway's Battered quickly attack with a no-holds-barred metal sound that will quickly find them a worldwide fanbase. Formed from the ashes of Einherjer, the band takes on a more thrash approach (unlike Einherjer's well respected viking metal base). Its a fresh new perspective for the members who are very excited of Battered's potential.
Recorded at Sifa Lydstudio in Norway and produced by guitarist Frode Glesnes, Battered is simple in design but corrosive on impact.
Founded in February 2004 by Gerhard Storesund, Aksel Herløe, and Glesnes, Battered added bassist Ole Moldesaether and vocalist Siggy Olaisen before later signing with Norway's Tabu Records. With US partnership via Candlelight Records, the band began recording of their debut in late 2004.
