Well known as the birthplace of NASCAR and home of beautiful beaches, Daytona Beach also hosts a fertile metal and hardcore scene. The Autumn Offering emerged when its members were still in their teens; inspired by thrash metal and southern rock, they devoted every waking moment to creating their own lethal brew. Revelations of the Unsung is The Autumn Offering's debut full length album which was originally released in January of 2004. The band caught the attention of Victory Records, who signed them in the fall of 2005 and opted to re-release "Revelations of the Unsung", giving it the push it deserves. The band presents ten bone crushing tracks, combining the brutal riffs of In Flames and Slayer with the southern edge of Pantera. Revelations Of The Unsung was produced by the legendary Zeuss (Hatebreed, Staind, Shadows Fall) and Jamey Jasta (of Hatebreed and MTV2's Headbanger's Ball), and introduced thousands to the talent and inescapable force of The Autumn Offering.

When The Autumn Offering started in 1999, the airwaves were full of bands like Blink 182 and fellow Floridians New Found Glory. High school freshman Sean Robbins was completely alienated by this trend, and decided to start a band that would express a different side of things. He explains, "It seemed like everyone was diving into this pop punk that was sweeping the nation - we just couldn't buy into the idea of plastic heartache with a hookline. We wanted to take all of life's frustrations and the overall feeling of hopelessness and turn it into something that could be a hard-hitting force". Influenced by a wide range of music, both past and present, the band began perfecting their sound, which has been described as being an aggressive blend of groove-stocked heavy metal and melody-rich rock & roll. Since that year, The Autumn Offering has come a long way.

After two years of constant rehearsing and regional playing, in 2001 the band embarked on their first full US east coast tour. After two more self-booked tours and more regional playing, the band caught the attention of Hatebreed front man Jamey Jasta, who signed the band to his Stillborn Records in 2003. The group immediately entered into Planet-Z studios alongside engineer Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, Staind) and producer Jasta. Heavy yet catchy, the record is a confident, explosive statement for a freshman recording, called, "…one of the rare encouraging records in a genre otherwise swamped by formula and cliché," by The UCD Advocate. The Autumn Offering became friends with All That Remains on tour, staying with bassist Matt Deis while recording and inviting singer Phil Labonte to contribute to one of the albums highlights, "Homecoming".

As Revelations of the Unsung hits stores, The Autumn Offering will be entering Audiohammer Studios with Jason Suecof (God Forbid, Trivium) to record their next album, scheduled to street in May 2006. Look for them on the road immediately following the album's completion; having the privilege of sharing the stage with such acts as Slipknot, Slayer, Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, Mastodon, Killswitch Engage, God Forbid and Agnostic Front left The Autumn Offering a well oiled rock machine, ready to roll. Their live performances seethe with belligerence and aggression, perfectly framing their apocalyptic lyrics.

Straight out of Florida, The Autumn Offering have capitalized on raw talent and unrelenting hard work to break out of the local scene - they are ready to make their mark on the metal world.

Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi was briefly a member of Jethro Tull band in the late '60s. Although he didn't record with the band, he appeared with Tull on the Rolling Stones' aborted 1968 TV special, Rock n' Roll Circus.
