The Exies, their name inspired by the philosophically dour existentialists, were created in 1997 in Los Angeles. The band's sound molds late '60s British Invasion pop with futuristic wall-of-sound guitars. The band recorded their debut LP, the Exies, at the legendary Reflection Studios in Charlotte, North Carolina with producer Steven Haigler (Oleander, Quicksand, Fuel). Featuring singable melodies, gripping chort progressions and some fancy guitar effects, the exies' 11-track debut is a surefire, hook-filled knockout.
