BLIND GUARDIAN TO HOST LISTENING PARTY IN NEW YORK CITY

BLIND GUARDIAN members Hansi K?rsch and André Olbrich will host a listening party for their new album, A Twist In The Myth, at Lit Lounge (93 Second Avenue - between 5th & 6th Streets) in New York City on Monday, August 21st. Scheduled for North American release on September 5th, A Twist In The Myth will be played in its entirety on the Main Floor between 9 and 11 p.m. A 21 & over event, admission is FREE and 33" x 23" posters will be distributed to all fans in attendance.
To celebrate BLIND GUARDIAN's first studio album in four years plus their upcoming, second-ever North American tour (set to launch on November 8th with Leaves Eyes), Nuclear Blast Records has teamed up with Gibson Guitars to give away a black Les Paul autographed by the band members. The band recently completed a video for "Another Stranger Me." When asked why the band chose that particular track, vocalist Hansi K?rsch responds:
"Because it's a very unusual song for BLIND GUARDIAN. It has a very vivid power and it's very straightforward. This song is about a schizophrenic person who discovers his multiple 'eyes' and tries to find a way out. We try to transfer this to the detective [character] who just figured that he's being hunted by several very vigilant persons and he tries to get out of that desperate situation. The other selves, the other 'eyes' in the story, they are very vicious and do not have any intentions to live on a peaceful status with the detective. They're just fooling him and trying to make him a lunatic - which he is already."
