Matt Zane, "Pushing the Level of What Porn Can Be," Wraps Shooting on Radium

NJ/Van Nuys, CA —

Matt Zane continues to stretch the porn envelope. Having just wrapped shooting for Radium,
his latest alt-porn series exclusively for Pleasure Productions, Zane says his fusion of hardcore sex with hard, edgy metal music "is pushing the level of what porn can be in terms of
entertainment."

The first volume of this groundbreaking series features five music videos from Earache Recording artists and interviews from the band, With Passion,
according to Zane.

"This
was a very involved shoot," says Zane, "but I had a great time putting it together because, obviously, it is all based around music."

Hosting
the series is Pleasure Production's superstar Tera Wray, a self-anointed "band-aide with benefits." Zane chauffeured Tera around to various heavy metal music events and locations as part of the show to help seal the bond between porn and music.

"We
had Tera travel around LA to the California Metal Fest, NRG Studio's and Nightengale Entertainment," said Zane. "We even were able to get her onstage at the Metal Fest for a few songs."

"She was having just as much fun as me, if not more," Zane says, adding, "I think she was most excited when we brought her to NRG Studios where Korn
recorded their biggest record. She was able to see the platinum record and tour the studio." Tera is a big Korn fan, which she is not shy about on her MySpace page.

"Everyone was really excited to have her hang around and talk to the fans," says Zane, adding that for Radium she got a taste of playing the drums during a lesson with Society 1 drummer, Berserk Kirk.

"I have always believed that adult video can be created in a way that will be equal to mainstream entertainment in terms of content," says Zane. "I think a lot of high-end directors agree but miss what actually makes good television or movies. Super high-budget porn will never compete with mainstream movies, because no matter how good it looks it will never stand on it's own without the sex elements. But creative concepts within porn, I believe, have the ability to eventually be viewed as alternative entertainment just as good as something you might see on VH1. This is what I strive for – a series that could work with the sex or without. Radium is another step in that direction."
