The Gauntlet: Hammerfall Metal News

Hammerfall Studio Update

Hammerfall HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak has posted the following blog at the band's MySpace page:

"It all begins again... again...

Joacim and I took the ferry, but Stefan opted for the five-and-a-half-hour drive instead. But no matter, by one thirty we were all there, including Charlie, whose arrival conicided with Stefan's on the minute.

Studio 2 - where we record everything but the drums - had to be vacated so Lundgård could use it in case they got another client during the ten days we were away. So the first order of the day was to carry equipment. Charlie's of course, but also Stefan's. He had recently bought a brand new computer set-up and brought it to Denmark so he could practise his solos and stuff. Having done that, it was time for lunch and thus a trip to Kwickly to stock up on supplies. Were going to spend the next six weeks here save for a few weekends at home, so shit was needed.

When that was taken care of, Charlie began setting everything up again. He was ready just in time for dinner, and by then all of us bandmembers had taken a short afternoon nap. After dinner we began setting the guitar sound. Last time, it took us all of 30 minutes to achieve what we wanted. Pure luck, I think. This time, with mostly the same equipment only more of it, it took all evening. I guess fatigue played a role here, but also the fact that we wanted to improve on this as well as the rest of the production (naturally). By eleven, it was time to go to sleep for everyone, because tomorrow we get down to business. It has been a long wait, but now were here.

Fuck yeah!"
