The Gauntlet: Acacia Strain, The Metal News

THE ACACIA STRAIN added to Job For A Cowboy tour, finishing current month long tour

Acacia Strain, The Massachusetts' THE ACACIA STRAIN, currently wrapping up dates with labelmates THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD and LIGHT THIS CITY as well as From A Second Story Window, have officially been confirmed for the upcoming January / February tour alongside Job For A Cowboy, Pysopus, See You Next Tuesday and Daath. Now continuing on as a four piece, THE ACACIA STRAIN will bring its signature sound back out on the road on one of early 2007's more diverse tours.

"I'm definitely excited," vocalist Vincent Bennet says. "It's not just a tour, it's really diverse - it's got pretty much everything and it'll probably be one of the most brutal tours of the year. We're going to be in full force every night."

THE ACACIA STRAIN continues to support its new record, 'The Dead Walk,' having already hit the road this year with the likes of Caliban, Through The Eyes of the Dead, Himsa and Darkest Hour among others as well as appearances at New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, the Saints and Sinners festival and CMJ 2006. 'The Dead Walk' was again produced by Adam Dutkiewicz (Killswitch Engage), who handled production for the band's last record, '3750,' and features in-depth artwork and layout from veteran artist Paul Romano (Mastodon, The Red Chord).

In summer 2000, Creed frontman Scott Stapp was awarded the first Fatherhood Hall Of Fame Statue by the advocacy group Women For Fatherhood. Stapp's son Jagger inspired the Creed single "With Arms Wide Open," which came from their 1999 album Human Clay.
