The Gauntlet: Velvet Revolver Metal News

Legendary guitarist Slash tells all in new book due out October 30th

Slash ‘From one of the greatest rock guitarists of our era comes a memoir that redefines sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll’

Bet that got your attention right? A statement like that could only be in reference to one person, current Velvet Revolver/ex- Guns ‘N’ Roses guitarist Slash. On October 30th Harper Collins will release ‘Slash’, an autobiography written by Slash himself along with Anthony Bozza (who also helped write Tommy Lee’s book ‘Tommyland’). The book is an intensely personal account of struggle and triumph, filled with stories of women, drugs, lawsuits, rehab, riots, and all sorts of debauchery.

A big part of the book is that for the first time, Slash tells the tale that has yet to be told from the inside of Guns ‘N’ Roses: how the band came together, how they wrote the music that defined an era, how they survived insane, never-ending tours, how they survived themselves, and, ultimately, how it all fell apart.
