A brief message from CANDLEMASS songwriter/bassist Leif Edling, on winning the Swedish Grammy on February 7th in the "Hard Rock" category:
"Opeth, Meshuggah, HammerFall and Hardcore Superstar were tough contenders but we beat them to it, and we're now very proud to announce that yours truly are Grammy Award winners! This means that C-MASS finally got the recognition they deserve in their home country. It only took 20 years, but what the hell..."
About their upcoming South American shows, the band states:
"At last it is happening! CANDLEMASS go to Brazil and Chile to show how heavy fucking doom is done. Three gigs are booked in March. C-MASS are ready to kick some serious South American butt!!!"
