Ogre Tones, which is the band's first release under their new deal with InsideOut, was produced by Michael Wagener (Metallica, Alice Cooper, Queen) and includes such smash singles as "Alone," "Open My Eyes," and "Get Away". A departure from the band's last few albums, Ogre Tones is receiving rave reviews from fans and critics for its innovative sound and musical intricacies.
In fact, Andy Secher of Hit Parader magazine said, "On Ogre Tones King's X have produced their finest effort in a decade - a shining example of hard rock at its most erudite, emotive and effective." Martin Popoff, critic for Guitar World, reports that the album is a "concise and accessible collection of tracks loaded with the band's celebrated hooks and harmonies."
