Shortly before his death, guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott announced that he would be entering into a new sponsorship partnership with the legendary Dean Guitars, a company the axe-shredder helped to lead to prominence while in Texas thrash metal outfit Pantera.
Dean Guitars USA has announced that production will begin on an all-new Dime model guitar. This particualr guitar will be a limited edition model, aside from the company's standard line of Dime series guitars.
