The Gauntlet: Taking Back Sunday Metal News

Taking Back Sunday Star Quits

Taking Back Sunday Taking Back Sunday star Fred Mascherino has quit the band to embark on a solo career. The guitarist, who joined the rockers in 2003, will now concentrate his efforts on his new band The Color Fred. TBS front man Adam Lazzara says, "We are sad to see Fred go and we wish him well with his new project."

The singer insists Mascherino's departure won't spell the end for the band: "We're alive and well. We've started working on the new album and it feels really good."

The Color Fred will release their debut album Bend To Break on October 30th.
