The Gauntlet: Behemoth Metal News

Behemoth Drummer Twists Ankle

Behemoth Inferno, drummer for the Polish black metal band Behemoth has twisted his ankle, which has made him unable to walk. Shortly after he was transported to the hospital, the group's mainman, Nergal, issued the following statement:

"The accident happened right before we were about to take off to Belgium, to play at Vlamrock fest. His leg was put in plaster which makes him unable to walk. Fortunately, his ankle isn't broken, but he won't be able to perform for the coming weeks. We are pissed off but there's nothing we can do about it. BEHEMOTH is known for NOT canceling any shows, but this shit went beyond our control. We wanna apologize to all the fans and festival organizers and promise to come back as soon as possible and make it all up to you the best we can!"

The affected dates are as follows:

Aug. 26 - Vlamrock Festival, Belgium
Sep. 09 - Precursors of Eternity, Austria

Date: Aug 26, 2006
