The Gauntlet: Napalm Death Metal News

Napalm Death Bassist Checks In From The Road

Napalm Death Napalm Death bassist Shane Embury has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"The days are blurring as ever on tour [with Born From Pain and Mendeed] but there been some killer shows. Yesterday in Munich was amazing, I have to say. Overall a great day. I went into the city and saw some of the great architecture and came back to a crazy crowd. It really made me remember why I wanted to play in a band - lots of energy. Germany has really been amazing! Before that we celebrated Halloween in Slovenia which was a lot of fun - all three bands sharing a few beers after the show and of course Mitch's birthday which he was surprisingly quiet for (I think he went for an early celebration the night before!). But many thanks to the guys at the club for a geat night. Friendships are getting stronger between the bands also, and it's going to be a sad day when the tour finishes, but hopefully we get play together again next year on the festivals."

This fall Napalm Death will annihilate the masses on the "Death By Decibels" tour, their first U.S. headlining tour in more than five years. The Decibel magazine-sponsored trek kicks off on November 15 and also features A Life Once Lost, Dead To Fall and Animosity in the support slots with Arsis and Impaled joining on select dates.

England's 1988 Castle Donnington Monsters of Rock festival featured one of the most enticing heavy metal lineups ever — Guns N' Roses, Megadeth, David Lee Roth, Kiss, and headlined by Iron Maiden (the show holds an attendance record of over 100,000).
