The Gauntlet: Napalm Death Metal News

Napalm Death Recording New Album; Talk About Material

Napalm Death Commenting on recording material for the follow-up album to last year's The Code Is Red' Long Live The Code, Napalm Death vocalist Barney Greenway said, "After working our arses off on new stuff for the last couple of months, we kind of slipped into the studio when noone was looking. This thing is already sounding totally immense - even better than Code..., from where I'm standing. It's fast and furious, as you'd expect, but we're also throwing a few curveballs in, in true ND tradition. Can't wait for everyone to hear it. Take it easy peeps." The band are currently recording at Foel Studios in Wales, England, where they also recorded their last album.

Napalm Death toured North America earlier this year with Kreator, and in fall 2005 supporting Suffocation. Look for the new album to be released this fall with an extensive worldwide tour following.

In 1979, Dead Kennedys frontman Jello Biafra ran for mayor of San Francisco. Although many viewed this as a publicity stunt, Biafra finished a respectable fourth in the poll.
