KATAKLYSM - UPDATE ON LATEST MUSIC VIDEO: CRIPPLED & BROKEN

Kataklysm Canadian death metallers KATAKLYSM have abandoned their plans of shooting their video for the song "Crippled & Broken" in Amsterdam this April, and will instead film the clip next week in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with Maurice Swinkel of Lowlife Media.

"Although some of the shots and story plot have already been filmed over last weekend in remote parts of Holland, the band will be filmed in Montreal February 16-19," the group write in a press release.

"The song 'Crippled & Broken', the band's first video from the new album, In the Arms of Devastation, deals with a war veteran dealing with post-war syndrome. Expect a 'heavy' video exploring the mind of a broken down soldier. The video should be ready for submission before the band's live assault [in early April] begins."

As previously reported, a rough-mix version of a brand-new KATAKLYSM track, entitled "Like Angels Weeping (The Dark)", has been posted online at this location:

The song comes off the In the Arms of Devastation, due on February 20 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was mixed in Denmark by acclaimed producer Tue Madsen.

KATAKLYSM will release their new album, In the Arms of Devastation, as a limited-edition double-disc featuring a bonus live DVD, entitled "The End of Serenity: Live in Strasbourg". "The DVD was professionaly filmed in France during the 'Serenity in Fire' touring campaign," the band write in a newsletter. "Theres some pretty sick footage of fans ripping the place and the stage apart...crazy stuff."

The New Jersey punk trio Buzzkill was originally known as Butthead when they formed in 1990, but had to change their name two years later when MTV's Beavis & Butthead became a massive success. Ironically, MTV also had a grunge/alt-metal show called Buzzkill, which aired during the mid-'90s.
