The Gauntlet: Impaled Metal News

IMPALED Releases Two Songs from Upcoming Record

Impaled Willowtip Records is hosting online two new songs from the upcoming Impaled record, "The Last Gasp." The new record is set to hit stores in the United States on November 6th and one day earlier in Europe.

When reached for comment, guitarist/vocalist Sean McGrath had this to say: "Whuh? Oh yeah, cool. Hey, do you want to Biggie Size that?" He then added, "Fries are up!"

The two new tracks, titled "You are the Dead" and "Up the Dose," are available on the Willowtip website here and on the Impaled myspace page. According to bassist Ross Sewage, "These two brutal tracks are just a brutalistic sampling of how brutalful our latest brutastic album really is."

The complete track listing for Impaled's "The Last Gasp" is:
1. G.O.R.E.
2. Sickness is Health
3. The Visible Man
4. You are the Dead
5. All Gut, No Glory
6. Up the Dose
7. Torture of Duty
8. Masters of Ordure
9. Right to Die
10. Dawn of the Dread
11. The Last Gasp

For those who can't wait, Willowtip is also offering a pre-order package consisting of the album along with a new Impaled shirt design. This will be available exclusively by ordering from the Willowtip website.

Slayer's 1986 thrash metal classic, Reign in Blood, was originally to be distributed by CBS. When the label refused to do so (citing the graphic nature of the material), Rick Rubin and his label, Def American, stepped in.
