The Gauntlet: Beyond The Embrace Metal News

BEYOND THE EMBRACE To Finish Songwriting For Third Album Next Week

Beyond The Embrace BEYOND THE EMBRACE guitarist Oscar Gouveia has posted the following message at the band's official website:

"First off we'd like to thank all the guys in GREEN CARNATION, Jim Keller, and all the promoters and club owners across the country for making our tour last month a good one. There were a couple of bumps along the neverending road but we're back home and enjoying it. We'll be hitting Drowning Sun Recordings in MA, my project studio, in about a week to finish songwriting for our long overdue third release for Metal Blade Records. We hope to start tracking before the end of spring. So keep checking in for studio reports and any hometown shows we may have coming up. Thanx."

    Hardcore Annal Sects

Kurt Cobain originally called his group Skid Row, unaware of the '80s hair-metal band (whose music Cobain would later wipe off the charts) that used the name already. Ironically, after settling on Nirvana and achieving worldwide success, the group was sued by the '60s psychedelic outfit with the same name. Fortunately, the bands settled the dispute amicably, finding enough Nirvana to share between them.
