Since the release of their first album, GRAMMY®-winning Fallen, Evanescence has experienced many challenges. With new management and a new guitarist/songwriter, Terry Balsamo, the band is poised to release their second studio album, The Open Door, chronicling their breakups, a health scare, and varied emotions over the last year. The album, partially recorded in an old, acoustically rich chapel, features Amy Lee's powerful vocals along with a classical choir, string accompaniment, and riveting guitar solos.
