Video posted of Matt Zane breaking Criss Angel's suspension record

Society 1 2007 Matt Zane broke Criss Angel's suspension record on Friday Jan 11 at 6:08 p.m. after hanging for six hours with four shark hooks that pierced the skin of his back. Zane broke the record at AEE to promote his DVD series Punk'd Ur Ass, the first of which features a segment in which Zane undergoes a suspension on Dave Navarro's TV show.

After soundly breaking Angel's time record with only four hooks, Criss Angel used what the Las Vegas Sun called "a wussy eight hooks" to distribute the weight, Zane was lowered to the ground amidst a cheering crowd that surrounded the Evolution Erotica booth and counted down the final seconds.

"This is by far the most painful it's been the entire time," Zane stated as his piercing crew began removing the hooks from his back. "If I pass out now, I apologize."

For the duration of the suspension, Zane seemed completely relaxed, conducting interviews, signing autographs, posing for pictures with fans, talking on his cell phone, meditating in the lotus position and displaying copies of his latest DVD PUNKD UR ASS #2 to the crowd. Perhaps one of the most memorable moments of the suspension occurred when porn starlet Ann Marie entered the booth and gave Zane a simulated erotic act. "Something to take my mind off it," Zane said as Ann Marie acted out the movement.

Wayne Static was in attendance for a portion of the suspension with girlfriend Tera Wray. All three signed autographs and posed for hundreds of pictures. The event was covered by numerous press outlets including Howard Stern TV.

Punkd Ur Ass #2 is now available at www.lustique.com and other fine outlets that carry adult titles.
