AS I LAY DYING AWARDED MTV2's ULTIMATE METAL GOD'S AWARD

As I Lay Dying, headlining the second installment of the SOUNDS OF THE UNDERGROUND tour 2006, were recently awarded the coveted "peoples choice" award for "MTV 2 All Things That Rock" (announced 7/30/06) where the band had received MTV2's ALL THAT ROCKS award, in the category of "There Are None Higher, Ultimate Metal God". Frontman Tim Lambesis expresses, "I love awards like this because they're not political, and it's about the fans being there for us. That means more to the band than anything else."
