SACRED OATH Frontman ROB THORNE Hospitalized After Suffering Mini-Stroke

Sacred Oath frontman Rob Thorne hospitalized following a mini-stroke amid the band's ongoing musical activities.

Rob Thorne, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the Connecticut-based metal band Sacred Oath, was hospitalized after showing symptoms of a mini-stroke. His family noticed difficulties with his speech, prompting an immediate visit to Danbury Hospital where he was diagnosed and admitted for further testing.

Sacred Oath recently commemorated 40 years in the music scene by releasing a single titled "1986," which pays homage to the formative period of metal music they helped shape. Thorne reflected on the challenges and successes the band experienced during that year.

The band is currently working on a new full-length album set for release in 2026. They have adapted their release strategy by sharing singles and lyric videos as part of a modern approach to music distribution, embracing streaming platforms to stay connected with their audience.

The single "1986" is available to stream globally through Virgin/UMG's network, continuing the band's legacy while moving forward with fresh material despite recent health concerns involving their frontman.
